Elementary

PCS' kindergarten through fifth grade elementary program provides a high-quality education in an environment that is nurturing, stimulating, and Christ-centered.

We encourage all of our students to be the very best they can be in every facet of their experience—from academics, to extra-curricular activities, to personal character. Our goal is to enable every student to experience personal success as they progress through their elementary years and beyond.

Our 5-acre Market Street campus, which houses our ECE and Elementary programs, has four classroom buildings which include:

An Arts building with...

  A state-of-the-art computer lab

   A spacious library

  Liberally-equipped art and music studios

  New classrooms

A Gymnasium with...

   A climbing wall

   Basketball and volleyball courts

A fenced and partially covered playground

   Up-to-date play equipment

We also offer before and after school care for elementary aged children through our school age program. Click here to learn more.

KindergartenPortland Christian kindergartners attend a full day program where they learn reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and Bible. In addition, all kindergartners take weekly specialty classes in PE, music, library, art, computer science, and Spanish. The curriculum is enhanced by field trips, class parties, special programs, and other special events.

Elementary: First through fifth graders sometimes need to “be children” in our ever moving, hurried society. At Portland Christian, we give our students a healthy balance of learning and play, responsibility and fun, questions and discovery, long-time friends and new acquaintances -- all the while preparing them for junior high and beyond.

Our faculty and staff are highly experienced and committed to helping our students excel at every level.
