Latin students take five gold and six silver medals

The NLE is “an opportunity for students to receive reinforcement and recognition for their accomplishments in the classroom” (www.nle.org)

Latin teacher, Mrs. Rachel Humphrey shares, “Our students performed outstandingly in this exam, once again as a group performing above the national average. They worked really hard and I am SO proud of each one! There are a number of students who only missed an award by one or two points, and I so appreciate their efforts.  I am especially thrilled with the students who showed huge improvement from last year to this year, whether or not that was reflected in an award. We have also had good conversations in class about what we can learn about test preparation and test taking from this experience. It is a privilege to teach these classes - I can't imagine being happier or more satisfied in any job!”

Fifteen of the 28 who took the exam received awards, including five gold medals, six silver medals and four certificates of achievement. Congratulations to the following students:
