Preschoolers took a little break in March, but many of their teachers stayed in touch with their tiny students via Zoom. Singing “This Is the Day” with Ms. Malou and her ukulele – what a great way to spend time in quarantine! We’re anxious to see many little ones return for summer care and look forward to the older preschoolers moving up to kindergarten in the fall! Watch Ms. Malou’s video.
Kindergarten Graduation was an outdoor, socially-distanced event, but that didn’t stop PCS families from celebrating to the fullest! The outgoing Kinders (49 students) and their families enjoyed three drive-thru parades complete with diplomas, hats, and congratulations all around. See the photos and video.
Fifth grade is moving up to Jr. High! Two evenings were dedicated to promoting our fifth graders, with motorcades, accolades, and up-grades for all. See the photos.
In fact, the whole elementary school came out on a very rainy Saturday to bid farewell to the school year, welcome summertime, and express a variety of sentiments from “Thank you PC” to “I survived distance learning.“ Watch the video.
A little rain didn’t stop the eighth graders from adding some pomp to their procession! These 36 junior-high students will be in high school before you know it. The students, their families, and their teachers told the world about it with decorations, song, and dance – and even a little fire show from a friendly neighbor. Watch the video and see the photos.
High school graduation, the biggest celebration of all, is yet to come. Stay tuned for news of the when, where, and how of this spectacular event.
Thanks, PCS community, for your support of all of our students in this very unusual year.
