The annual ECE and Elementary Christmas program was released as a video on December 11. With the help of parents’ filming their child’s performance at home, teachers filming Google Meet performances, and music teacher Mrs. Singleterry compiling/editing/leading music/producing all the various clips into a one hour video, it was viewed more than 450 times!
Here're some of the elementary classes!
More people may have enjoyed the Christmas program online versus when performed in person!
Without the physical Christmas tree in the school lobby with donated Christmas presents to a local non-profit, the elementary school parent committee is encouraging families to donate to the local non-profit, Shepherd’s Door. They are a part of Portland Rescue Mission that ministers to women and children.
The junior high students are dressing up for spirit week during the last week of school before Christmas break. Everyone, students and teachers alike, is participating even if they are attending school online! Students will also play online and in person socially distant games during this week.
Teachers entered the fun by dressing up as characters from the Christmas Carol.
High school students in their assigned cohorts will have a socially distant white elephant gift exchange with games and activities, hosted by Student Council (StuCo) in lieu of the annual Christmas breakfast served to their Jr/Sr High school classmates.
Teachers were so grateful to StuCo members who came and decorated their classrooms – specifically the portion of their classroom visible during their digital teaching.
