ISP Summer School
June 17 - July 26, 2019
Designed for beginning to intermediate level. Students will build a basic foundation of grammar, vocabulary, listening, and conversation skills. Students will learn skills to assist them in all areas of study.
Students will become familiar with the customs of the United States through the use of written material, films, crafts, and dialogue.
Summer School Teacher
John Felton has taught English and Bible for international students for years at Portland Christian School. He has also taught U.S. History, World History and Study Skills. After attending an international high school, he earned a B.A. in Communications from George Fox University, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University School of Education. In the last four years, Mr. Felton and his wife have hosted international students from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam and Japan. He has been at PCS since 2003.
*Students will also have one half-day field trip and one full day field trip. Field trip sites will be determined by the number of students and the budget. Students will be responsible for bringing their lunch. All other expenses will be covered.
