• 7:56 PCS Elementary School 2020 End of Year Parade Featured

  Even though our elementary students may have seen their teachers in Zoom classroom sessions, face-to-face interactions are what we all crave. PCS elementary teachers organized an end of the year parade for all students and classroom teachers to say goodbye in person. It was an opportunity for our students, families and teachers to celebrate finishing the year strong together and completing distance learning. The parade started in the school circle drive, through the school parking lot, and then a block away through a church parking lot and down to a public elementary school parking lot.
  
  The message was united between families and teachers: "thank you, thank you, thank you, we love our teachers, we love our students, and have a good summer!"

  Despite Pacific NW showers, 8th grade students with their families gathered in the school driveway for an individualized promotion ceremony on June 5 at 7:30 p.m. It wasn't the way any of us anticipated the year would end for our students, but we are so grateful and blessed that teachers and staff could still celebrate them. The drive through allowed us to maintain social distancing during this time of COVID-19 quarantine!

  Watch Kinder A (KA) class students and families drive up for their graduation ceremony with teacher Mrs. Mary Rydman, during the COVID-19 stay at home order. Every family signed up for a drive up time. Kinder B (KB) and Kinder C (KC) classes celebrated the following two evenings with their teachers, Mrs. Amy Felton and Mrs. Kati Hines. Congratulations to all our kindergartners! We celebrate all our students and their families!

  Peer Ministry is a leadership program open to 3rd to 5th graders by application.
  Peer ministers (students) learn to lead their peers by example and participate in activities that serve their peers, families and community. Wheat Cafe is one of the activities where peer ministers put into practive what they've learned by inviting other students to have lunch together as a special treat.
