This video was presented at PCS Royalwood Auction 2018. It is the story of how PCS' financial aid has impacted one student and her family.

We want every student and family that wants to be here, to go to Portland Christian. And that is not possible for a good portion of those that seek Portland Christian education. So having an option for them, a partner with them, in their goal and their hopes for their child's education, can happen through financial aid when we have donors that will step up and be a part of that forever life-changing experience for a child.

I'm in sixth grade. I have my little sister, Kalani. She is in first grade and she's in Miss Byrd's class.  I have Mrs. Caldwell as my teacher. She's the best. She makes learning fun. I went to five different schools before this. They were mostly public and then I did some homeschooling. So then, we came here cuz my mom found out from another friend of hers about Portland Christian. Yeah and now we're here. My mom is a single mom. I don't have a dad. She has a disease called multiple sclerosis. And she struggles a lot with it. So I have to take care of my sister and I have to make dinner every once in awhile. But, we deal with it, day by day. One of the school counselors, Mrs. V, if I'm having a rough day or I just need to talk about it she prays with us. She talks with me. She works through, like if I'm not getting along with my sister, she reminds me that I always just need to keep working with her cuz, me and my mom are the only people there for her.

Thank you from all of those who are recipients of financial aid. I don't know all of them. You're not going to know them. I know that it makes a difference, and without your partnership it wouldn't be possible. So thank you so much for giving, and for caring, and loving these kids as much as I do. Thank you.
