The MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) measures students' progress so we can ensure that we are meeting each student's academic needs.
Students have been participating on-campus during our scheduled opportunities for limited in-person instruction to access assessment and provide academic support.
During these brief periods, students participate in the assessments in physically distanced, small groups within their cohorts.
September and October assessments help establish a baseline in Math, Reading, Comprehension, and Writing skills. Repeat assessments in the spring will measure each student's progress in those same areas. Families who do not wish to send their students to campus have the option to take the assessments at home, proctored by parents.
It's just one small step in Portland Christian's commitment to excellence in education.
