“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of minds to think.” ~ Albert Einstein
Whether your student is entering preschool, about to finish high school, or somewhere in between, you want them to succeed. Portland Christian is dedicated to helping every student flourish as they prepare for the next step on their journey of life-long learning. Guided by credentialed, caring teachers, challenged to think critically, and encouraged to engage in life beyond the classroom, PCS students grow intellectually and spiritually as they prepare for college and engage in life.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." ~ John 13:35
Growing Leaders and Growing Disciples – what do these mean at Portland Christian? Leadership is not only about positions, titles, power, influence, and authority. True leadership is also about service, integrity, humility, courage, and love for one another.
For Christians, it starts with living our lives as followers of Jesus Christ. PCS programs such as Peer Ministry, Digital Discipleship, Serve Day, and Chapel intentionally teach students about these qualities. However, it is by engaging in the day-to-day activities of homework, sports, the arts, clubs, service projects, and even just hanging out with friends, that students put into practice what it truly means to be a disciple who leads by example.
“I like the strong community of people – teachers, staff, coaches, and other parents – who are involved with my child. I feel that my child is not just a number, but a person who is nurtured academically and spiritually.” ~ a PCS parent
“PCS is Christ centered and the school has a family feel to it – everybody knows my child by name.” ~ a PCS parent
“What I like best about PCS is the teachers and the warm community.” ~ a PCS Jr/Sr HS student
