2023 Jog-A-Thon fundraising goal surpassed!

This fundraiser, held on September 29, and run by the Parent Committee, is an essential event for the ECE/Elementary School community.  It actually starts well BEFORE the day of Jog-A-Thon.  Students begin collecting pledges from family and friends to support our school. 

Kids run by grades – some as hard and as fast as they can.  Others walk their laps with their teachers.  Volunteers – parents, grandparents, siblings - track their laps on the tags attached to the back of the students’ t-shirts.

This year, Jog-A-Thon raised $27,000.00 with some donations still trickling in. Students were rewarded on December 7 with donuts from Joe’s Donuts and hot chocolate for meeting, and exceeding their $25k goal!!

TJ Hansen, Parent Committee Chair reports, “The funds raised are given to the Parent Committee to use towards student needs at the PC elementary campus. We invite all parents and guardians of PC elementary students to join us at our monthly meeting to help make decisions on how the money will be spent this year. We meet the second Tuesday of each month from 8:40-9:40 am. [An] already approved and exciting use of funds is going to help provide our students the opportunity to go out into our community and serve this year. For more information regarding these opportunities our kids will have, please reach out to our principal, Sherilee Thomas.”
