Jr/Sr High School Student Support Services

Students at BBQ after PSAT

Realizing that students may have different academic needs which may not be met during the classroom time, PCS has created various types of support. This assistance does not require appointments and has no extra fees.

Tutoring 

  • Offered to all students after school from 3:20 to 3:55 pm
  • Teachers are available to help with homework, test preparation, or review concepts
  • Sports practice times are scheduled to start at either 3:45 or 4:00 pm so athletes have time to meet with teachers after school 
 

After School Options

Library

  • The school library remains open and staffed to students from 3:20 to 4:00 pm to study and do homework
 

After School 

  • The After School Room and Student Lounge is open from 3:20 to 4:20 pm
  • Supervised recreation and social opportunities 
  • An area to do homework once the library closes
  • Board games, ping pong tables, air hockey, and carpet ball
  • Location for students while waiting for older siblings in after-school activities, or waiting for a parent pick-up
  • Students sign in and out when using this service
  • No prior arrangements needed for a student to use this service
  • No fee required
