Growing Disciples

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
~ John 13:35

Growing Leaders and Growing Disciples – what do these mean at Portland Christian? Leadership is not only about positions, titles, power, influence, and authority.  True leadership is also about service, integrity, humility, courage, and love for one another.

For Christians, it starts with living our lives as followers of Jesus Christ.   PCS programs such as Peer Ministry, Digital Discipleship, Serve Day, and Chapel intentionally teach students about these qualities.  However, it is by engaging in the day-to-day activities of homework, sports, the arts, clubs, service projects, and even just hanging out with friends, that students put into practice what it truly means to be a disciple who leads by example.

Notice Of Nondiscriminatory Policy As To Students:  Holding true to God's word, Portland Christian Schools loves and respects every individual as His own creation.  PCS admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
