FUNDED: The Campus Safety Project
$100,000 Match Challenge
We did it!
The Campus Safety Project is fully funded and fully matched.
Over $200,000 raised for campus safety, thanks to your generosity.
Thank you, Portland Christian Community. From every student who walks these halls, from every family who trusts us with their children, and from everyone on our team who gave, worked, and prayed toward this moment—thank you.
Here’s how your gift is making Portland Christian safer:
Enhanced Campus Monitoring – Complete
New cameras are installed and operating across our buildings and grounds, providing complete coverage of every building entrance, corridor, outdoor space, and perimeter boundary.
Campus Perimeter Improvements – Complete
Upgraded fencing and secure entry gates are now in place, creating a clear, secure border around campus grounds.
Campus Access Upgrades – In Progress
Every exterior door across both campuses has transitioned from traditional lock-and-key to a modern swipe-card access system. The new impact-resistant, forced-entry-rated security door for the Elementary campus main entrance is currently being installed.
“Portland Christian provides an atmosphere and a learning experience and a lifelong set of values that’s worth supporting.“
— Grandparent of a Portland Christian first grader
“With matching funds committed, it is hard to think of a better investment in young minds than providing a safe educational, faith-based environment.”
—Portland Christian Alum, Class of 1968
“This effort is crucial to ensuring a campus community that can 100% focus its attention on learning and spirituality.“
— Dr. Shawn Daley, Dean, College of Education, George Fox University
“With the matching donation that doubles our contribution, supporting this campaign in any amount is a no-brainer.”
— Parent of a Portland Christian kindergartener and 3rd grader

NAME: RACHEL GRAHAM
“My son started at PC in 3rd grade — he’s an 8th grader now. My family moved here after nine years in Uganda, and we needed a place where an active kid wouldn’t get lost in the shuffle — where teachers actually know their students, where our faith would be reinforced. PC was all of that for us. It still is. I don’t take lightly what it means to be trusted with something so many families have built over so many years, and I’m grateful we get to be the ones who pass it forward a little stronger.”
