Hannah has played club softball since she was 7 years old. Playing softball runs in her family, from her grandmother, mother, aunt, to her sister. For many years, her mother Elsa Griffith, was the PC softball head coach. Hannah played softball for PC while in high school.
Jessica Engstrom, PC softball head coach last year shares, “I have had the joy of coaching Hannah during her 11th grade year. Whenever Hannah played, she gave 110% every single day. She is a great team player and leader. Hannah showed up every day with a smile on her face ready to play the game she loves. She led the team in home runs last year and made 1st team All League. I look forward to seeing what Hannah does both on the field for Corban and off the field, for the kingdom.”
Hannah describes why she enjoys and excels in softball, “It’s my release, especially after a tough day at school, a fun escape.” She acknowledges that her role in a team also encompasses being a cheerleader, an encourager while giving her the opportunity to exercise leadership. “Softball is a good way to build community,” she explains, “a softball team can’t just have one good player.”
This PC lifer (since preschool) plans on studying biokinetics at Corban.
We wish her the best as she graduates from PCS this June.
