Grace Orfield, Class of 2021

Even though Grace Orfield spent just one year at Portland Christian as a senior, the impact of that time stayed with her. Today, she’s back on campus serving as the Student Support Specialist for the middle and high school, while also teaching Worship Arts.

Favorite PC Memories
Grace cherishes the unique opportunity she had to attend PC alongside her younger sister, Bella. “All of the laughs and moments we shared together as new students have become such precious memories,” she shares. “That year truly solidified our lifelong role as built-in best friends.”

Another highlight of her senior year was learning to play softball. “Being part of that team brought us together after a season that felt divided by COVID,” she says. “The friendships I formed on that field still remain today.”

Favorite PC Teacher
Grace credits Mrs. Coyle-Ray as a meaningful influence during her time at PC. “She encouraged us to think critically and helped us find perspective during a difficult season. She reminded us that there is always a silver lining in our stories.”

Life After Graduation
After graduating, Grace attended Northwest University before feeling called to take a different path. She returned home, completed her associate degree, and experienced a season of personal and spiritual renewal.

She later transferred to George Fox University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. “Through every twist and turn, God showed me that He truly directs our steps. He is faithful in every season.”

Returning to PC as Staff
“It has been such a joy to pour back into the community that gave so much to my family and me.”
