Elementary (1-5)

Approaches (Curriculum, methods, concepts)

Elementary students participate in weekly PE classes that develop coordination, strength, endurance, and sportsmanship, while instilling healthy lifestyle habits. Teachers balance structured activities with active play to promote overall physical well-being. Students refine and strengthen fine motor skills and coordination through regular practice in handwriting, cursive, and scissor skills.

Experiences (Highlights, special events)

Students enjoy daily recesses on a fenced playground featuring covered play areas and a turf field. There are annual field days, fitness challenges, and opportunities for active learning in and out of the classroom. PE activities are varied to encourage skill development in different sports and fitness exercises.

Enrichment Opportunities (Extracurriculars, co-curriculars, programs, groups)

Elementary sports programs include basketball (grades 1–5) and, starting in grade 3, track, baseball, volleyball, and cross country. Before & After School Programs extend opportunities for physical play.

Progress (Goals, achievements, readiness)

By the end of elementary school, students demonstrate increased stamina, refined motor skills, and foundational athletic abilities, preparing them for the more competitive athletics and higher-level PE instruction in middle school.
