At Portland Christian, athletics is an extension of our mission to develop students who honor God in every area of life. Our program cultivates Christ-centered character, teamwork, and excellence—helping students grow spiritually, academically, and athletically.
We offer a wide range of opportunities for students in grades 1–12, including elementary, middle school, junior varsity, and varsity teams. As members of CYO and OSAA, our athletes compete with integrity at every level.
We believe competition plays an important role in shaping mature, resilient Christian leaders. Student-athletes are challenged to demonstrate Christ-like character on and off the field, while being coached and mentored by leaders who care deeply about both performance and personal growth.
Portland Christian Athletics is committed to:
- A safe, engaging, and supportive environment
- Clear and timely communication
- Dynamic, Christ-centered coaching
- Positive recognition of student-athletes
- Quality facilities, equipment, and competitive opportunities
Our Royals compete in volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, track and field, golf, baseball, and softball—building a tradition of excellence with over 100 league championships and multiple state titles.
The PC boys varsity baseball team is headed to the first round of State. Their game is on Monday, May 25 at 5:00 pm right here at Portland Christian. Students gave them a rousing sendoff this afternoon since there`s no school on Memorial Day!

What a season, Royals! Coach Michael Brown shares the following.
The 2026 Portland Christian 3rd – 8th grade Track & Field program wraps up after 12 combined meets across two leagues (MCL and CYO). Sixty two athletes, 474 individual performances, and 184 personal bests — that`s nearly one PR for every three times someone stepped to the line. From 3rd grade through 8th, this team showed up, competed hard, and kept improving.
A few stories worth celebrating:
Ella Allen chipped away at her 100m every single meet — 13.81 at the opener, down to 13.19 by the end. Six meets, six steps forward. That kind of consistency is everything.
Ben DuClos added more than six meters to his discus throw over the course of the season, finishing at 24.87m. That growth doesn`t happen by accident.
Madelynn Halterman knocked nearly three seconds off her 100m hurdles — from 22.25 all the way down to 19.50. One of the biggest improvements on the team.
Judah Lovejoy, competing in 3rd grade, threw javelin 16.55m by season`s end, up from 11.57m at the opener. Big things ahead.
Colette Drechsler spent the whole season racing herself — 1500m from 6:50 down to 6:12, 800m from 3:23 to 3:12. She kept winning.
And Jack Felton ran 14.62 in the 100m on opening day and 12.75 at the end. Nearly two seconds faster. That`s a whole different athlete.
These are just a few of the 62 stories from this season. We`re proud of every single one of you. Go Royals!
Thank you to all the coaches and volunteers: Michael Brown, Koren Brown, David Lovejoy, Carolyn Poling, Brian Allen, Chris Pagnotta, Emily Holland, Amanda Goska for all your time and energy investing into our students!

Not the end of the game, just the end of an inning! Congratulations to our graduating seniors from the varsity baseball team.
Missing: Beau Bautista
From OSAA, based exclusively on nominees from varsity head coaches (thanks Coach Wilson!), two “Fab Frosh” from Portland Christian are making a major impact across Oregon baseball diamonds this spring:
Jackson Lottis (#22), INF, Portland Christian – Lottis is a tough out despite being so young. He leads the Royals in qualify at bats and has power to all fields. He also is developing a solid repertoire as a pitcher.
Kaleb Mazurowski (#13), RHP, Portland Christian – A tall, lanky righthander, Mazurowski pounds the strike zone for the 10-7 Royals. He leads the team in innings pitched and complete games and has a 2.8 ERA. He could develop into a monster as his secondary pitches evolve.
You can find the listings in OSAAtoday’s Baseball Notebook: www.osaa.org/today
Congrats to our five golf seniors who were recognized at the PC baseball game last night! These guys helped grow our golf program the last two years and will be sorely missed!
