At Portland Christian, athletics is an extension of our mission to develop students who honor God in every area of life. Our program cultivates Christ-centered character, teamwork, and excellenceโhelping students grow spiritually, academically, and athletically.
We offer a wide range of opportunities for students in grades 1โ12, including elementary, middle school, junior varsity, and varsity teams. As members of CYO and OSAA, our athletes compete with integrity at every level.
We believe competition plays an important role in shaping mature, resilient Christian leaders. Student-athletes are challenged to demonstrate Christ-like character on and off the field, while being coached and mentored by leaders who care deeply about both performance and personal growth.

Our Royals compete in volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, track and field, golf, baseball, and softballโbuilding a tradition of excellence with over 100 league championships and multiple state titles.

The MS Boys Soccer Purple team came together on the field during this week`s game with strong passing, teamwork, and support for one anotherโand it paid off with a 7โ0 victory!

The annual Ultimook Cross Country Race is always highly anticipated each fall! This memorable course features shallow river crossings, muddy trails, wood-chip paths, and, of course, the famous mud pit. Itโs a great course for runnersโand provides spectators with plenty of exciting viewing opportunities, especially at the mud pit! Thirteen PC cross country runners competed in this yearโs race. The boys ran through the rain, while the girls enjoyed clear skies for their race!
The team will continue the season with meets throughout Oregon and Washington. Thank you, Coach Jannsen, for getting our runners off to another great cross country season!

The players fought hard at State this past weekend. They fell on Friday in a tough battle against Neah-Kah-Nie, the team that ultimately captured the Senior National State title. On Saturday, they faced Mill City, who went on to take 3rd in State.
Through it all, they played hard and with character to the very end.
Congratulations to our athletes on a fantastic run at State and a phenomenal season!

The Royals 7/8 team split their games on opening day at the State Tournament. They started strong with a fantastic 11-6 win this morning, but dropped a tough second game 3-12 against an undefeated opponent.
Tomorrowโs must-win game to keep the Royalsโ tournament run alive is at West Albany High School at 11:30 am.
