Alumni Employee Focus
Nolan Helgerson, Class of 2021
Our final alumni employee feature this year is Nolan Helgerson! Nolan, Class of 2021, served as the assistant baseball coach this season, helping lead the baseball team to State competition.
Favorite PC Memories
As a student from 2nd through 12th grade, Nolan says some of his favorite memories include “participating in sports with my friends. Winning a football game in triple overtime as a junior was an insane experience. Being able to play in the state tournament for baseball with my teammates my senior year was also something I am very proud of.”

Favorite PC Teachers
“Mr. Beaumont always made what we were learning interesting, and he was always fun to talk to. I always appreciated that I had multiple great history teachers throughout my time at PC, whether it was Mrs. Humphrey, Mrs. Caldwell, Mr. Hamilton, or JRob (Mr. Roberts). They always made me want to learn more. I also enjoyed my math teachers, Mrs. Maz and Mr. Jannsen. Both challenged me and made me a much better math student.”
Life After Graduation
After high school, Nolan attended Linfield University, where he played baseball and earned a double major in Sport Management and Journalism & Media Studies, graduating in 2025.
Working at PC
“Coming back to coach in the baseball program where I spent so much time as a player has been a great experience. I have the opportunity to give back to this program. My hope is to be a positive influence on these young players, just as my high school coaches were for me. My goal is to help these students grow — not only in their ability within the game, but also in their understanding of the strategic side of baseball.”
