Alumni Employee Focus
Danny Myron, Class of 2000
Danny has been part of the Portland Christian community even before he became a student. His parents, Rick and Jo Myron, were part of the team that helped build several of PC’s original athletic fields – including football, baseball, and track – years before Danny enrolled. Danny attended Portland Christian from kindergarten through 12th grade, alongside his sister, Katrina.
Current Role at PC
Danny serves as the Middle School Basketball Coach for the 5th & 6th grade girls team as well as the 7th & 8th grade girls team.

Favorite PC Memories
One of Danny’s most notable memories is “goofing around with Nathan Lucia.” As a student, he participated in nearly every sport PC offered, “anything with a ball” – football, basketball, baseball, as well as track, and javelin.
As a senior at PC, he received the 1999 1st Team All League Quarterback in PC’s first undefeated League Championship Football League.
Favorite PC Teachers
Several teachers played a meaningful role in Danny’s life as both mentors and disciplinarians:
- Dan Beaumont – Junior High Principal and Freshman Bible teacher
- Eric Lowe – Junior Bible and woodshop teacher
- Glen Cook – U.S. History
- Dr. John Schneider – Senior Bible teacher

Returning to PC
With two daughters currently attending PC, Danny returned with a desire “to share basketball with my daughters” and to give back to the community that shaped him. And he’s coaching Nathan Lucia’s daughter too!
Family Connections to PC
- Daughters: Lailee (8th grade) and Marlie (4th grade)
- Sister: Katrina Myron, Class of 2005
- Cousins: Amy, Jenny, Candace, and Johnathan Lackey, who attended PC throughout the 1990s and early 2000s
Danny’s story is a testament to the lasting impact of Portland Christian’s mission to educate students to grow in faith while partnering with families. The Myron family’s legacy continues to influence and encourage the lives of PC students today. 💜
